Acrylic Post It Note Holders

After seeing this on Made By Momo I knew I had to make some :) I went to Wal-Mart and bought the post its and the acrylic frames (3x5) came home, went through my scrap pile and pulled out anything that would work. Needless to say I didn't cut any new sheets of paper and made about 10 of these cuties. I purchased a big thing of pens at Sam's Club and although they aren't the RSVP pens they still worked great, I just didn't have as big of a spot for the matching paper.

This is what they looked like when they were all done. I put them in a little cellophane bag and added a tag with To: and From: on it

Fantabulous Cricut #38- RIBBON! and a winner ;)

Welcome back to another fun filled Monday with the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog :) This week's challenge was to create a card or layout (anything really) with ribbon on it. I made up these quick cards for a gift so I thought this would be perfect. I used Die Cuts With a View cardstock from the glitter stack and added some matching solid cardstock in a pretty light pink and then an orange for the flower, which by the way is from Mini Monograms cut at 1-3/4 and the circle is also cut at 1-3/4. I inked the edges of the white base and the white circle with chocolate from close to my heart, the sentiment is also from CTMH. I rounded the bottom corners and added the ribbon then I stuck the flower on with some pop dots. I hope you enjoy my card for today and don't forget to check out the other Design Team members blogs and enter this challenge at the FCCB. There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs :)

I also wanted to announce the winner of the CSNStores.com $55 dollar gift code :)

The winner is......

Morgan!!!

I'll be emailing you shortly with your gift code, Congratulations!! :) Thanks for playing everyone.

Fantabulous Cricut #37 Thankful For....

Hello all my crafty friends out there. I am finally back to reality after having my last craft fair this year. This weeks challenge at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is "Thankful For..." well I was having a hard time thinking of what I was thankful for until I was working on these blocks for the craft fair and it finally came to me... I am so Thankful for my FAMILY! I love them all very much. My husband is a great support to me and all my crafting adventures! My kids are the best and I love them for who they are and the things they teach me everyday. I wouldn't be the person I am today without them :)
So for this project I got some scraps of wood (2x6's) from the guy building in my neighborhood (gotta love free wood right) then I cut 2 each of the same sizes 6,8, and 10 inches. Then I got a font I liked (I used Cuttin' Up) and with my Gypsy I figured up the size the letters needed to be. I ended up getting 3 sets of letters from one sheet of chocolate vinyl from ProvoCraft. After the paper was picked and the letters were cut I started putting them together. I used sticky strip to apply the paper to the wood and then eye balling it I stuck the letter to the paper. Then I got out some ribbon, buttons, brads and Prima flowers to finish them up. I hope you enjoy this project and that you will play along in the challenge this week, I know there are some awesome prizes up for grabs :) Be sure to check out the other DT members projects as well, they always have great ideas to inspire you! Don't forget to sign up for my giveaway :)

Princess Castle, Crowns, and Wands from Once Upon A Princess

Someone asked if I could make up a castle for an activity at church AND it had to sparkle :) What, I love sparkle so this is what I did... I cut the castle at 8-1/4 the biggest I could on a 12x12 mat, then I hot glued the cylinders together because I have found that sticky strip (or at least my sticky strip) doesn't like to hold for long. After assembling the entire castle I used Mod Podge to coat just the purple parts and then I added some course glitter. I also took my Stickles and used that just along the edges of the walls (across the top) After that I got some jewels and some wire. I placed a sticky dot on 1 jewel and then the wire and then stuck another jewel on top like a sandwich :) then I threaded the wire down the little hole in the top of the cone. They kept leaning to one side so I used some Zip Dry glue to get them to stay put a little better :)

I also made some crowns to match. I cut these at 4 inches and then blinged up the darker pink areas with the same course glitter. I used my Stickles again for the "diamonds" on the top.
And a princess themed activity wouldn't be complete without the wands right? These were cut at 9 and then I also added some course glitter and some stickles to the top parts of each of them.

Easy Birthday/Money holder cards

I made these a while back and never posted them... oops! These were for my mother in law, she sends out lots of cards for birthdays particularly for ice cream money. I cut the ice cream from Doodlecharms at about 2-1/2 but I'm not positive I looked but cant find the paper I wrote the size down on... oops again!
All I did for the pocket was staple the pattern paper down at the sides that way she can slide the money down under that strip. I used everything I could from my scrap pile :)

Fantabulous Cricut #35- Shape and Color Challenge

Hello Everyone, This weeks challenge is a shape a color challenge, the shape being a circle and the color green on your project. I decided to use my Gypsy and make a circle card so I started with George and Basic Shapes and welded to 4-1/4 inch circles together. Then I brought up When It's Cold Outside and cut a snowflake to fit inside my circle this was cut at 4 inches. I didn't actually use the snowflake on the card... I used some removable adhesive and stuck it down where I wanted it, then using my CTMH ink in Topiary and a dauber I inked around the edges of the snowflake to create the image on the green cardstock. After that was done I took off the snowflake but wasn't loving the end product so I put the snowflake back on and with my Pebbles Inc. shimmer chalk I used the dark green color from there and went around the edges again to make is shine! Then I used Snow Friends and cut my snowman at 2-3/4. I glittered his hat, arms and along the bottom of his whole body. I also went around the whole circle and then added some course clear glitter I found at Wal-Mart! I also added some black Stickles to the birds eye. Thanks for stopping by, make sure you check out the other Fantabulous Cricut Design Team projects and be sure to enter this weeks challenge for some fantabulous prizes as well! :)
These are the things I used for the snowflake part of the card, Topiary ink from CTMH, the snowflake of course, the little finger dauber (it's by the ink pad) and chalk from Pebbles Inc.

Simple Thanks card

I made these the other day for a friend. She had been helping me a lot lately with my kids so I wanted to do something for her. I whipped these up while I was making her family some hot Cinnamon rolls, I think they turned out pretty cute! I used some DCWV cardstock from the Songbird stack and I ended up getting 6 cards from one sheet :) I matted it and rounded all the corners. I cut the oval and scalloped oval from Alphalicious at 2-1/2 then I stamped "thanks" from a CTMH set with chocolate ink and added a jewel and some ribbon.
