Fantabulous Cricut #49- Shaped card

Alright everyone here it is... the latest challenge from Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This week's challenge is to make a shaped card which means it can be anything except a square or rectangle! I decided to use Smiley Cards which was the free download for your Gypsy back in October. I used my Gypsy and sized my card to 5.21 welding 2 of the same (or main) cake shapes together then I just went ahead and did a 2nd layer on my Gypsy and laid out everything I need for the layers of the card. I placed all my paper on my mat in the co-responding areas and cut... after that I used my cuttlebug and the D'Vine Swirls folder on the "icing" pieces. After everything was adhered I used my yellow Stickles for the flames and the Crystal Stickles to go over the swirls and the cheeks then I added some twine and tied a bow, VOILA!
Be sure to check out the other design teams blogs today to see how they "shaped" up ;) and don't forget to enter at the FCCB for your chance to win some great prizes.
Dont forget to check out WEEKLY GIVEAWAY for the awesome Purse Card Holder I made to giveaway!

Teaming up with Weekly Giveaway for YOU!!

A few weeks ago a friend of mine contacted me about hosting a giveaway on her new blog "Weekly Giveaway" I of course said YES, what a great way to get out there and find new friends and followers! So if your the lucky one this is what you could win this week...
This super cute card purse, complete with 6 matching cards with envelopes and a cute pen to match. This would make a great present for any occasion and Mother's Day is coming soon.
You will be receiving these assorted cards with saying like "sending warm wishes", "wishing you a wonderful day", and "thinking of you".
The gate was cut from Paperdoll Dress-Up at 1-1/2 on some embossed white paper and then inked with chocolate ink.
You will also get these 3 cards that say "wishing you a wonderful day" and "Happy Birthday"
I cut this butterfly from Serenade at 1-1/2 inches and then added some Stickles to the pink part, then I adhered just the body so the wings can fly :)
This is a view of the inside, there are strips of paper that Velcro across each side to hold the cards in and also for easy access. The pen is located in the center of the purse and the whole things stays closed with Velcro on the outside flap as well.
A close up of the "ribbon" like hand made from paper.

Fantabulous Cricut #47- Weather Forecast

Hola Everyone! First off I want to thank all of those people that played along in the "Share The Love" Crawl this past week. There were lots of you that made a project and submitted it so way to go to you all! :) Also thanks to those that left comments here and to my new followers, I hope that you love what you see and keep coming back :) THANKS!

For the challenge this week at the FCCB it's all about WEATHER!  Make a project featuring your favorite seasonal weather (i.e. sun-summer, leaves-fall, snow-winter, rain-spring) I decided to go with some summer rain action, I love all of those Monsoon rain storms we get here in the deserts of Arizona. I used Create A Critter for my rainbow with the heart and cut it at 2-3/4 then I got my new twine out from The Twinery and started gluing down the different colors, what a pain but I love how it turned out. Next I got my Peachy Keen stamps out the Dolly Dumplins set and added the 1-3/8th face to my heart. After that was finished I grabbed my Serenade cartridge and cut some rain drops out at 3-1/4 on some vellum, then I took my Pebbles Inc. shimmer chalk and gave them a coating of that before I added them on my card. I know you cant see them well but that was the look I was going for, I didn't want them to be all "hey, here I am" just kinda there in the background ;) Then I stamped a sentiment from  a Close To My Heart set called TLC. I don't love the card as a whole, I think I should have added a sun to it and I still might. I do love the rainbow though, that's exactly what I was going for there.
Be sure to check out the other Design Team projects and link up your take on the "weather forecast" at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. I will announce my winners for the 10 Clear Dollar gift certificate and the cute and warm classic wrap Tuesday!

Fantabulous Cricut "Share The Love" Crawl!

Welcome to Cute Cards And Crafts By Jamie and the fourth Fantabulous Cricut Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!
Valentine's Day is in a week and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to Share the Love!   Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Valentine-themed project that includes the word LOVE somewhere on it.
If you've come from visiting Helen @ Crafting Cricut Mom, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE.
Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Share the Love" project at FCCB!
For my project I decided to go with a cute wall art. The scalloped squares are from a pre-made Die Cuts With A View stack so all I had to do was tear out the 3 grey sheets they are 8x8. Next I found some pattern paper I wanted (this happens to be DCWV as well) and I scored it with my Martha Stewart score board at every 1/2 inch mark. If you are doing fan folds I would highly recommend NOT using a light weight paper such as pattern paper, I had tons of problems with it but loved it so much I couldn't throw it out and start over with anything else! So after I was done with that I Used my Storybook cartridge and cut the "I" and "U" out at 3-3/4 on some dark red cardstock. I used my Sweethearts cartridge and cut that cute scalloped circle out at 3-1/2. I used George to cut the inner white circle out on a Terrifically Tacky Tape sheet and then after I had stuck it to the red hear I flocked it with white. I also used some silver cord to go around the heart leaving enough to tie it into a bow in the bottom right hand corner! I used my Mini Monograms to cut 2 small scalloped circles out of a different shade of grey at 2-1/4. I find that hot glue works best for adhering the fan folds so I used that to adhere everything on. I found this cute variegated pink ribbon in my stash and added it to the top for a cute "hanging" look.
**I am offering up a prize, a 10 dollar gift code to Clear Dollar Stamps. Just leave a comment. Leave a separate comment if you follow for another chance to win! :)
