Sheetload for July

I really liked this months SHEETLOAD. I decided to change the paper out since I wanted to make a few of these and I really like how they turned out. You should go check out Sheetload if you haven't already!

Baby Shower Invite

See the cupcake, frosting and scalloped circle its all sitting on, a friend of mine is throwing a shower for another friend of mine asked me to help with the invites so I cut about 75 of these little babies out the other day. She assembled them but they turned out so cute I had to share it with all of you :) cupcakes are 2 3/4 cut from Doodlecharms and scalloped circle is 3 (I think) cut from Mini Monograms. Then we crimped the yellow layer like a cupcake liner :)

Matchbook Birthday cards

I made a bunch of these the other day, really fun. I was running out of ribbon so this is the only one like this and I used my fun new cupcake stamps from papertreyink I will probably end up stamping "happy birthday" on these but haven't gotten to it yet. Here are some girly ones. This is how they open, then you tuck the one flap under the other side

Another peek-a-boo box

This one is my all time fav, I just LOVE IT! I had been searching every where for this cute square and finally realized that it was on the Storybook cartridge. I knew immediately when I saw this idea with the window that it would be one I was going to try. Idea found at Inking Idaho
View with the box open All the cards inside, click on the picture to enlarge it for a better look :) An up close look at one of the cards. Thanks for looking.

Ice Cream box with peek-a-boo window

I love it when I make something and it actually turns out better then I had hoped. I made a few of these but this was by far my most favorite. I found this idea on Inking Idaho's blog and gave it a try. I used Doodlecharms ice cream cone cut at 5 inches (Inking Idaho used a big stamp and hand cut it out but I thought to myself "my CRICUT can do that") it took a few tries to get the blade set to cut center on my box top but now its a breeze. I used My Mind's Eye paper for the box and the ice cream parts. I cut the cherry off the bottom layer (brown layer) and added some red flocking to it. I inked the bottom of the cone in brown so you could see the detail. I stamped happy birthday down the side and then used the cartridge Stamped and cut a small tag and then stamped "2 U" on it. I added some brown ribbon around the outside of the lid and called it done :)

Cupcake box with peek-a-boo window

Super fun and pretty easy to make. Saw this idea from Inking Idaho and had to try it out. I used Doodlecharms the cupcake cut at 5 inches. Then I used some transparency over the window. I embossed the frosting parts and the yellow pieces on the outside of the box with the cuttlebug folders and my Sizzix machine. I also used my paper crimper on the bottom of the cupcake. Pattern paper is from the DCWV glitter stack.

Birthday Banner from Mini Monograms and Stamped

A couple weeks ago someone sent me a picture asking if I could duplicate a banner similar to this, here is what I came up with. I used Mini Monograms for the scalloped circles, scalloped squares, smooth circles and smooth squares, all cut at 5 1/2 except the smooth circles they were cut at 5 3/4. And here I am with my paper I wrote down those sizes on and what do you know I didn't write down the size of the letters :( dang it! I also have to mention that I DID NOT tie this together, that was all her. It turned out super cute though, I love it! Thanks for letting me help you with your darling daughters special day ;)

Cartridge Exploration- Plantin Schoolbook and George

Over at the Chirper Challenge we were given the task to explore cartridges that most people would have, the 1st ones up were Plantin Schoolbook, George and Basic shapes and Don Juan. Here is what I came up with....

This "thanks" card is strictly from George. I cut the flowers at two different sizes (1 and 1 1/2) on cream cardstock and the THANKS is cut at 1 1/4 with the shadow feature in blue. I inked the edges with CTMH- star spangled blue, added some cute yellow rhinestone bling from Kaiser Crafts and called it done. I think this was a super easy card and just wanted to show that you don't need a bunch of different cartridges to make a quick project or card. Here is another view so you can see the rhinestones "sparkle" :)

This project was entirely from Plantin Schoolbook. I decided to go with the round bag cut on the tall ball feature. This was cute at 10 on some cute paper from Costco. I also used the same paper to cute the tag at 2 and the "4" and "U" at 1. Then I flipped the tag around to use the solid side of the paper and made stitch marks with my white Uniball pen. I tied on some sheer light blue and solid white ribbon and I used pop dots under the 4 and U. (sorry this picture is a bit blurry)
here is another view and a better picture too. Enjoy!

PAPERTREYink = Happy Stamper

So if you guys haven't heard of www.papertreyink.com you are so missing out. I saw this WAY CUTE set on the pink stampers blog and had to have it. The CUPCAKES with frosting that doesn't all stamp as one unit... AWESOME!!! I can now pick a different color for the paper liner, the frosting and the sprinkles. even the candles are all separate. Gotta LOVE that:) Also these way CUTE Owls, just look at all the possibilities with this guy, and the saying that come with this set are super cute as well. I love stamp sets that come with sayings, then I don't have to go hunt one down that will "go" with it, know what I mean!
and the cutest add on bellies, I had to get these too just for some extra options, hee hee
I also got some new paper and matching ribbon from them too, how sweet is that, they actually have the exact ribbon to match their paper, like I said if you haven't checked them out, hurry and go there now, you wont be disappointed... at least I wasn't! :) PAPERTREYink

Chirper Challenge #18

This challenge was lots of fun, I love it when I sit down with no idea of what I am going to create and something great comes from it. We had to have 3 elements this time (brown, zig-zag and brads) click here. I knew right away I wanted to sew! I got this paper a month or so ago when I visited my sister in Vegas and the stickers to match from Cloud9. I used some Making Memories brads I had in my stash and this cute new stamp set from Stampin up! It's called "Sweet Little Sentiments" Tag is cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge. I also used my chocolate ink pad from CTMH. Thanks for looking :)
