4th of July wreath

I made this fun wreath yesterday. I just used the mesh that's so popular right now (found mine at Walmart) and a wire wreath form I got from hobby lobby and some pipe cleaners. I followed THESE directions.

4th of July garland!

I sewed up this fun paper garland the other day. It is super easy to do I have made a valentines garland and a st patricks day one too. stars were cut from George and Basic Shapes at about 2-1/2 and the rocket and firework was cut from Stand and Salute around 3. I cant remember and I cant check because Cricut Design space is weird and I still haven't learned all the tricks like the Gypsy.

I made up some fun thank you cards for a friends shower last week. She has since had her cute baby boy! These footprints are cut from new arrival at 3 and I also added 3 star brads at the bottom.
Baby rattle was cut from new arrival as well at 3 and I added a couple circle brads and some twine.
Monkey was cut from create a critter at 2-1/2 then I added some wood grain washi tape from close to my heart and a sparkle next to the sentiment.
I package them all up like this with a little twine and a card on top!

Minnie Mouse Party!

I had the opportunity to work on some fun decorations and party favors for a friend of mine. She wanted some candy sticks with pink and white candy inside and since we live in the middle of nowhere I had to get creative. First I tried those whopper strawberry milkshake candies which where all different sizes and the smallest was too big. Then I thought about sixlets or M&M's but couldn't find any in town so we settled on these pink camo jelly belly beans my husband found at Cracker Barrel for me. The Minnie heads are cut from Mickey Font at 1 inch. All circles and scallops were cut from Art Philosophy; white-1.15 inch; pink polka dot- 1.55; black scallop 2.10; pink scallop 2.60. I also added a little adhesive jewel to the center of her bow :)

Big Minnie Mouse head was cut at
11-1/2 inches. Minnie shoes cut at 4-3/4. The letters were cut at 3/4-1 inch I just kinda went back and forth between the two sizes.

Hope you enjoy this post! :) thanks for stopping by.

Mother's Day letters

This year instead of expecting my kids to not fight and carry on all day, I decided that I was going to write each of them a letter so they knew how much I love them and without them I wouldn't be a mother.

Cross cross box with card set.

I found this cute pattern on Pinterest and had to give it a try. I used not quite 2 pieces of pattern card stock its Bo Bunny Abby Road Vine and about 1/3 of one 12x12 sheet (blue) card stock as well as the 3 sheets of white card stock for the card bases. Krazy for Kraft trendy twine. Stamp sets used are all close to my heart, banner wishes, hello tweety and just for you and ink was heavenly blue and chocolate. The directions for the box can be found here.

Lucky your my friend!

This is a card I made a few weeks ago. I know st. Patricks is over but I still wanted to share. Ink is close to my heart. Stamp is from Unity. Used a chevron embossing folder for the background papers and fussy cut around the stamp then adhered it with pop dots. I added a square brad in the center of the clover to finish it off and tied some peapod twine from The Twinery around it. Card stock is bazzill

Twine Holder

Here is the twine holder my husband made for me. the main part is just a piece of wood we had laying around. I went to the store and found a dowel that closely fit the size of the spools and then had him cut lengths of it to put the spools on. He painted the whole thing white for me and then we used some smaller pieces of wood and attached those to the wall first and then attached the main piece to those at an angle.

Valentine countdown treats

For the last few years I have tried to do something special for my kids leading up to Valentine's Day, this is what I came up with...
Some hugs and kisses for you!

Valentine I like the way you roll (rolos)
Valentine I'm hooked on you! (gummy worms)
Valentine you're a "beary" good kid! (gummy bears)
Valentine you're a great CATCH! (Swedish fish)
so many Riesens why I love You!
You're a GEM! (ring pop)
Mint to be together! (life savors)
I've gotta "crush" on you!
This is all their mailboxes lines up :) I usually end on the 14th with chocolate fondue but this year I had pink eye so dang bad that my eye was swollen shut and I really thought I was going to be blind :(
P.S. the hearts were cut from Doodlecharms at 2-1/2
