Thank you - Life's a Beach

Made these cards with Life's a Beach cart. last week. My SIL just started Message School and wanted some thank-you's to send to people she gives messages too so she asked if I would make some up for h er. I thought the "beach" theme would be appropriate since that's a great place to relax, yea?! Cut the chair at 3 and the birds at 2, stamps are from Papertrey Ink. The paper is pretty much from the scrap drawer, I just used whatever shades of blue I could find :) Birds are adhered with pop dots.

Good Luck- graduation card

I made this really quick the other day. I wanted to try out my new "Just Because Cards" cartridge so I just turned to the first page and made what was there. I didnt want the saying that comes with this so I used Opposites Attract for the words and welded them together with my Gypsy, they are 1-3/4. The car and card are cut at 3-1/2 and the scroll is from a Studio G stamp I cut out and pop dotted on, I also added some brads on the tires and pop dotted it on as well. Thanks for stopping by today!

Birthday Boy using Robotz cartridge!

Made these cards yesterday after seeing My Creative Time do something similar. I couldn't tell you what the size of the letters are because I re-sized it and messed everything up. This was supposed to be a card just like hers that would have the letters hanging free down the side, I ended up cutting the part that I needed off and adhering it to a card. My robot is #17 on page 44 cut at 3 inches, I like to refer to him as cupcake head! I pop dotted him and the letters (cut at 3/4 of an inch) for "Boy" at the bottom and added some googly eyes. Paper is Tinkerin' from CTMH.

Thank EWE ~ using Just Because Cards

This was a super quick and easy card I made entirely on the Cricut. I just got this cart. Wed. and had been dying to use it, last night I finally got to sit down for a minute and put this together. The bigger one is cut at 5-1/2 and the smaller is cut at 4-1/4. I didn't know how it was going to cut so I did the smaller one first and then tried the bigger one, the big one will fit in an A2 envelope! This uses Sonburn cardstock I got at Sam's Club about 2 years ago, the white is DCWV embossed then I inked it with grey wool from CTMH, yellow is also DCWV, black is Mark's Finest papers. I do have to say that I messed up on the words and they are both cut at 4-1/4. I love that you don't have to change the size on this cart. I cut everything at one size and it all fit the card just how it was supposed to.

Sweet Pea- Peachy Keen #26

made some more of these cute pea pod babies, a bit different but the same idea. I needed some little boys :) This one uses CTMH paper pack called Stardust, white gel pen, CTMH stamp set called Girly Girl, Stickles, Peachy Keen stamps PK-570- Basic Paperdoll face Assortment and black Versafine ink. I was going to enter these in this weeks Peachy Keen Challenge #26 but I couldn't think of any up-cycled item to add, unless you count the scraps I used from the garbage can... you also had to have orange and white, stitching- either hand or sewing machine, and any peachy keen stamp. This one is the same except the background is orange not green.
I used my Cuttlebug with this card and the swirls folder, then I went over it with the Platinum Planet ink for some pretty shimmer and I added some pearls from Kaiser Crafts.

Hoppy Birthday! using Paisley

Hello Everyone, just thought I would post some quick cards I made last week. I have to tell you that the only NEW paper cut in this project was the orange dot, 1 full sheet of green for the frogs, and the purple for the scallop borders, the rest was from my scrap drawer. The frogs were cut at 2-3/4. The sentiment is from CTMH "Dream Big" for the hoppy birthday the others are from Clear Dollar Stamps, ribbon is from my stash. I didn't even make the "Happy Birthday" for these, I found them in the drawer... I guess I made too many the last time OOPS!

Mr. & Mrs. with Car using Sweethearts

Another requested wedding card I put together. I used the Sweethearts cartridge for this one and cut the car at 3 inches on the Linen Closet paper, if you haven't seen this stack it's a must if not for both at least get the cardstock stack, its full of really great shimmer cardstock :) I also used some DCWV embossed paper for the background and then I took my Brilliance ink pad called Platinum Planet and ran it over just the embossed areas and the edge of the card base. I also added some black polka dot ribbon and the "Mr. & Mrs." stamp is from Studio G, stamped with Versafine ink. This is the inside of the card, this was cut at 1-3/4 I didn't think it would cut that big and really wanted to use it so on the inside it went, I only adhered it down the left side and bottom so that the person giving it could tuck the $$ down in there.
Here is a red version all the same measurements.

My Pink Stamper Challenge~ Pink, Green and Black

My Pink Stamper is having a challenge today until Monday morning to use pink, green and black. I got right to work. I knew I wanted to use New Arrival so I chose to go with the little pea image on there, I cut that at 2-1/2 and then I also cut the tag at 2-1/4. I outlined the baby face with a black pen and added a ribbon to her hair using some DMC floss. I also added some Stickles to the heart and 3 dots to the bottom of the tag and with my white gel pen I added stitching. The paper is from Autumn Leaves "cute world" collection it's SO CUTE! I had a little mishap with my stamp, when I was lifting it off the paper it slipped out of my hand and fell back on the paper, I thought I was going to have to throw it out, but being as cheap as I am I said "NO WAY" and I just added a green Prima flower with a Making Memories glitter brad right over the top, you cant even tell... can you?I really wanted to use the phrase "sweet pea" so I went hunting in my stamp sets and found a set from CTMH called Girly Girl. It had one that said "sweet" and one that said "two peas in a pod" so I decided I would just use that. I just put some paper up on the parts I didn't want and VOILA I have a stamp that says "PEA" so there you have it, you don't have to have the exact word I could have also used individual letters and spelled it out :) Thanks for stopping by!

Happily Ever After..

Hi Everyone, just a quick card today to show you how great this Linen Closet cardstock is from DCWV. Someone recently asked me to make them some wedding cards to have on hand and I knew this paper would be perfect for it. This uses both the cardstock stack and the pattern paper stack and also the Love Struck Seasonal cartridge that came out for valentines day and Plantin Schoolbook. I cut the main image at 3-3/4 and then the scallop border with my Gypsy at 5-1/4 to match the size of the background (gold color) cardstock. For Some reason when I tried cutting the border on my Cricut alone, it wouldn't cut the right size... I added some twine from Wal-Mart and a pin from Making Memories and then stamped with Versafine black. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. Thanks for stopping by and make sure you check back tomorrow for another fun wedding card :)

Spring Decor...

I love making things, if you haven't noticed... I love the feeling of people coming in my home and not asking "where" I bought it but "did you make it?" There is nothing quite like that!

This was super easy, I have had these blocks of wood for a long time, my sister's in laws use to work at the Stampin Up! warehouse in Kanab, Ut. any block of wood with a knot in it or some other un-smooth bad part would get tossed out. I happen to be the lucky recipient of a large box of all different sizes of these babies and have always wanted to do something with them I just couldn't find the "right" project until now... these measure 5x6. I knew exactly which paper I wanted to use so I grabbed it, the "for Peep's Sake" from Imaginisce (love that stuff) it has some cute bunny and chick stuff in there but I wanted my spring to be more SPRING and not Easter. Anywho I just picked 3 of those papers because they are double sided and mixed and matched until I was happy with it. The papers are cut at 4-5/8 x 5-3/4, then I inked the edges with cardinal from Versacolor and adhered the paper to the blocks using Mod Podge.I ended up cutting the letters with Opposites Attract on the upright feature at 4-1/2 on my Bazzill Papaya cardstock first then with my deep cut blade I used some chipboard from the back of a calendar to cut the letters again with the multi-cut feature on 2. I used some zip dry paper glue to adhere those together.
I added some Making Memories spring brads to the letters and then again using the Zip Dry I adhered the letters to the blocks. For some added fun the pack of papers came with a collage of spring words so I just chose my favorites and added them to a few of the letters. This paper was not glittered and I couldn't have it be left out so I took my Stickles and made little dots of sparkle in just the right places for me. I have also added a chipboard flower to this one that was also included in the pack of papers with matching stickers.
I hope you enjoy this project and it inspires you to try something new for Spring as well :)

Spring Wreath

Hi Everyone, I started making this cute wreath a few weeks ago and didn't realize how long the dang thing would take... I love how it looks but boy was it a pain. I found the idea ==>HERE<== and thought I would try it out but I have to warn you it took me about 4 hours total to get all the scalloped circles on. I used a 2 inch punch from Stampin Up! and leaving brown paper bags folded up we punched out a bunch of circles and by a bunch I mean that it took nearly 30 bags for this project. Then using an un-sharpened pencil you fold the circle over the pencil, add a dab of hot glue and press it to the foam until you have all the spots covered. Then I used the Storybook cartridge and cut my butterflies at 1-1/2, 2, and 2-1/2. For that white paper I didn't have a book I wanted to tear and I wanted it to be more sturdy then the called for pages so I got on my computer and looked up the definition for spring and then copy and pasted that into my word processor and then printed it. I also inked the edges, if you click on the photo you can hopefully enlarge it. Thanks for stopping by today!

Easter Blocks

I made these a week or so ago and just didn't get them posted. I bought the wood and vinyl already cut last year and didn't get them painted until this year, that's how it usually works with me. Anyway here they are done thanks to my sister for helping me!
