Here is the before....And the after! Ta-Da :)
I love how it turned out. I used the new "Green" stack from Die Cuts with a View!

Black, White, and Hot Pink challenge at Caardvarks

Over at CAARDVARKS they are having a challenge right now sponsored by "My Stamp Box"and you have to use the colors in their logo which are black, white and hot pink. This is what I came up with, you should go check them out and enter in the contest!
I used some black textured cardstock for my card base. The patterned paper is from a DCWV stack. Then I used the raspberry color from some really old creative memories paper called shades of pink. I used Storybook cartridge to cut the pink paper and then used my cuttlebug folders to emboss. The butterfly is from the Home Decor cartridge cut on some really pretty shimmer paper from provocraft. (click on the picture to enlarge to see the shimmer) I also used a happy birthday stamp from CTMH and thanks stamp from Heidi Grace with CTMH white and black ink and ranger clear heat embossing powder. The ribbon is from big lots I got awhile back.

This is the inside of the card so it would be easier to write in there.

From the DCWV Sweet Stack

Another really easy idea. My friend and I took 1 sheet out of the Sweet stack and cut it up for the main part on our cards, then we just cut a scalloped circle and a plain white circle and added a little saying, the paper pretty much speaks for itself :)

1 piece of Cardstock...

made all of these cards. You know in some of those big stacks of paper you get, sometimes there are sheets of paper that you think "what in the world would I ever use that on?" well I have found an idea. All you have to do is cut it up into smaller sections and VOILA, you have card fronts. Just add a little background paper and some ribbon and a saying and you have a cute set of cards to give. I haven't added sayings to these yet but I will and then bundle them together in 2 sets of 6 with envelopes. Such a great idea!
This is the paper before I cut it all up!

I WON! and some cupcake cards to show you!

So this amazing site card Caardvarks teamed up with a new company I just found out about and LOVE already called Core'dinations and had there very first blog hop. All you had to do was hop through all the design team members blogs and leave a comment and then go back to Caardvarks and let them know that you did it and then you would be entered in to win a prize package valued at 68.00... well if you can believe it or not I WON!! I am so excited I cant wait to get my goodies and see what I have to play with.

Anyway on with my latest cards, these were fun and easy. We used the SWEET stack from DCWV and cut 1 sheet into 9 pieces for the background, then we cut some scallops circles from mini monograms at 3 inches I think and a plain circle to stamp our cupcakes on. After stamping with my AWESOME new cupcakes from papertreyink, we used a water brush to color in the frosting then we added some stickles to the sprinkles and a red gem for the cherry on top and VOILA they were done.

Baby Shower Invite reinvented- it's a card!

Just thought I would post this really quick and show you how easy it is to take an invite and make it into a card. All I did was tear the front of the invite off and stick it to a yellow card blank, I then used my new border punch called dotted scallop and went along the edge of the card base. Now I have a cute baby card :) (see earlier post called "baby shower invite" to see what the before looked like)

Hershey's Nuggets Wrappers

Covered about 100 of these little candies for out church activity. The caption reads "Your so SWEET, thanks for Visiting Teaching!" I just used all my scraps cut into 1 x 3 inch pieces and double stick taped them on to the nuggets. Then I used some return address labels and printed my message, easy as pie!

Ladybug Cards... OH My!

These are some fun cards my friend and I made the other night, super quick and easy! They are made from the O'Scrap frames, then we cut up some of the ladybugs and made them 3-D. Stamped "thanks" on there and heat embossed with white or black, tied some fun ribbon on and they were done! These bottom ones we used my new border punch "scallops and dots"

Chirper Challenge #20 - Scrap Sketch

Hi Everyone, here is my card for the CHIRPER CHALLENGE this week. We were challenged to pick any sketch from SCRAPSKETCH and make a card or layout based on that design. I chose sketch #139 and flipped it sideways. I hope you enjoy my take on this. I made it for my niece that just got her permit! The car from is from Paperdoll Dress-up cut at 2 inches and the tire or steering wheel is from George (I just cut a circle at 2 1/2, then I had cut all the triangles out of the middle) I also hand cut the keys and then used a silver sharpie to color the "teeth" part.

Little Backpack

I found this cute backpack tutorial on a blog called Smells Like Homemade and HAD to give it a try. Taylor was right here with me so I told her she could pick out the paper and we would make it for her, she loved that idea! This probably took me about 2 hours but I had to keep stopping, I really didn't think it was that hard. This is not that big, I should have taken a picture of it with something sitting next to it, it wont fit a regular sized candy bar but you could put some little miniatures or Hershey's nuggets in there :)
This is the back of it pockets opened :) I used those double stick Velcro tabsFront with the pockets closed.

Some Cards

Some random cards I have been working on, the top one is all stitched with ribbon and a major pain in the butt, I had hoped to make 4 of these but as long as the 1st one took I think I will scratch the rest... This one is paper quiling, it's kinda fun, definitely NOT my thing but I managed to make 4 of these. I still need to add a sentiment.

Cartridge Exploration- Mini Monograms

This weeks cart. exploration was for Mini Monograms or New Arrival over at the Chirper Challenge. I made this for a friends baby shower using Mini Monograms scalloped circles and scalloped squares cut at 5 1/2 then I used the letters I needed and cut them out. Some of them are not like they would be in the booklet, some of the letters are certain shapes and I didn't plan it well in the beginning so I had to first cut the letter I wanted and then in the back you can cut the shape only so I used that and it worked perfectly. If you try that idea you will have to FIRST write down where your blade is at BEFORE you hit CUT, if you try this after you hit cut then you wont know where to line your blade up again and you might get the letter off center. I used Nana's Kids stack from DCWV, petalsoft from Bazzill, and some misc. green I had from Costco. I also used some Prima flowers and some jewels for the centers of the flowers. I also traced around the letters with a black pen so they would "pop" a little more. Another girl put it all together with the ribbon and tulle. I think it turned out really cute, thanks for looking!

Chirper Challenge - Let's get into Shape

This is the card I chose to make this round. It had to be a shaped card and since there is a baby shower coming up soon, I figured I would kill 2 birds with 1 stone. This cute cut is a safety pin from the Wild Card cartridge. I cut the envelope 1st with the "fit to page" feature, it ended up being cut at 5 inches. I find this easier to cut the envelope 1st that way I will get the same size for the card since the envelope is bigger. (hope that makes sense) I cut a piece of light pink to fill in my hole and then I cut "It's a Girl" from New Arrival big enough to fit inside my blank spot, sorry I didn't write down the size :( After I had adhered it to my card I went back and glittered it and added a ribbon :) Another view to see the glitterHere is the envelope also from Wild Card, it cuts a cute diaper pin to match, I also glittered this to tie it all together. Thanks for looking :)
