These cards were so simple but I think they also pack a big punch. I started off with some pretty pattern cardstock from the Charming stack by Recollections. I rounded the bottom corners on both the blue and the white card and adhered them together. The tag was cut at 2-1/2 from Art Philosophy and can I just say that if you dont have this cartridge yet your really missing out. It has some really great cuts on it plus Close To My Heart is making stamp sets that go with it, super cool! to order it from me just click on Art Philosophy :) Anyway back to the card... the sentiments are from Paper Smooches "word salad" and I just love the font Kim uses... super duper cute! I used foam tape to adhere the scallop circle and finished it off with some Honeydew twine from The Twinery :)

Happy 40th Anniversary
This was a special request card I had last week. Some friends of a friend were celebrating their 40th anniversary and my friend wanted a very specific card for them that included their names and 40 on it so this is what I came up with... I LOVE the Lemon Flower stack from Die Cuts With a View so much in fact that after I had used just a few sheets out of the stack I decided I NEEDED another stack :) just flipping through it makes me happy! So anyway back to the card... I printed off their names on some white cardstock and cut it into the flag shape that's so popular right now, I added some opaques pearls to the one side and adhered it on with Scotch Quick Drying tacky glue. It's bubbled up on the middle but I didn't get a good picture of that part.
I cut the tag at 2 inches and 40 at 1-1/2 inches from Songbird. I embossed the top part of the white cardstock with the dots folder and used the apron lace border punch at the bottom of the green. I tied some Buttercream twine from The Twinery around and adhered that part to my card. The tag was adhered with foam tape and then I stamped Happy Anniversary with My Pink Stamper stamps and added a couple more opaques pearls to finish it off.

Fun set of cards
I love how this set of cards turned out. It just seems to say "Hello Spring" every time I look at them! If you can believe it or not there is NO cricut cut on these cuties. I used a stack from My Minds Eye called "Where The Heart Is" and layered a lot. The stems of the flowers are from a set called "Forever In Love" by CTMH. I added some prima flowers and little tiny beads in silver to the centers of the flowers. For the border I used "Apron Lace" from Fiskers and then I added some Grape Fizz twine from Trendy Twine :)

Quilt card
I love Pinterest... have I said that lately?! It's amazing and full of really great ideas not only for crafters but for recipe lovers, organizers, sewers and everyone in between. I saw THIS card a couple weeks ago (it's the second one down in the post) and knew I had to re create it. I went to her blog and tried to find a more direct link but I couldn't find one. I used a Recollections paper pad called "Charming" and cut all my squares at 1-1/2 then I used some pretty Papertrey Ink ribbon and cut a fun tag from Art Philosophy at 1-1/4. The stamps are called Say It In Style from Close To My Heart and so are the pearls.
To adhere the ribbon, I put adhesive across the whole back with the ATG gun and then I stuck down the edges where I wanted them, then I pressed down the middle and then pressed from the middle to the outer edge to make my little "buckle" in the ribbon. The tag was adhered with some foam tape.

Lemonade 5 cents sign
Well I'm back... after trying to get this post up all week and getting that dang message about being out of space, blogger finally let me upload a picture. I never did pay for more picture storage so I dont know what's up with that but I do know that I'm able to do it now and I'm super happy! (we'll see what happens on the next post)
Anyway, I saw this super cute sign HERE on pinterest this past fall and I ran right out and bought a picket fence post to make it and then the wood sat here... through Halloween.... and Thanksgiving.... and Christmas.... and Valentine's... and here it is almost Easter and I finally got the dang thing finished! I used Don Juan and Lyrical Letters. I sanded my wood first then I painted it Canary Yellow from Plaid. After that had 2 coats on it I cut my letters and used Mod Modge to get them on, then I used some black paint from Plaid and dry brushed the edges.
L, o, n, e, were cut at 3 inches with the under pressure font
e and a were cut at 3 inches with the regular font
5 was cut at 3 inches and the "cents" sign was cut at 2-3/4.
M was cut at 3-1/2 and D was cut at 3-1/4 from Lyrical Letters with the Jumbo font

having trouble...
well I went to post a new project for you today and blogger wont let me, I keep getting this dumb message that reads...
Whoops! You're out of space. Purchase more storage.
Photos are stored in your Picasa Web Albums account and are included in your 1 GB free quota for photos. Additional storage you purchase is shared between several Google products and is in addition to your free quota. Learn more
It's really irritating and I dont know how to get around it, I'm not paying for space on a free blog so I guess this little blog of mine might have to start over. If anyone has any tips on what to do I'm all ears! :)
