Product Review for BIC Markers and a GREAT GIVEAWAY!!!

So about 3 weeks ago I was contacted by BIC asking me if I would do a product review of their new BIC Mark-It Markers in Fine and Ultra Fine... I was super excited to try them out not just because they were free but because I am able to do a giveaway as well :) So I get these markers and figure out what I want to color with them, this cute stamp from My Favorite Things caught my eye. Using my Gypsy and Once Upon a Princess I cut the shape out that I wanted to stamp her on, then using some black versafine ink I put my main image on the shape (this is a tag from page 58, sized according to my image) then I got busy with the markers. I have to say that with this really cool storage system they come in, it makes finding the right color a breeze. They were very easy to use with hardly any smell and the rubber grip on the pen was oh so comfy. I was also excited to see that they didn't bleed outside my stamped image. I did get a little through to the back of the paper but not much. I also loved the fact that I couldn't see lines where I had already colored... you know the ones where your coloring in a large image and you go back to fill in a part you might have missed and then you can see exactly where it was dry compared to fresh ink... not something I love, but with these markers I didn't have any of that, and that's something I do LOVE!
Here are my girlies all colored in and looking pretty, I didn't have time to put them on cards because I wanted to focus on the coloring part today. I went back with my Crystal Stickles and added just a bit to her cute heart and her shoes :)
I love the color range with these markers, I am pretty sure there is a light, medium and dark in all the color families and something else I loved where the names like, Ocean View Blue and Plumtastic Purple, they just call my name.. pick me... PICK ME!!
This is what 3, YES THREE of my lucky viewers will receive, ONE pack of FINE and ONE pack of ULTRA FINE 36 count markers. That's a total of 72 markers and a retail value of $41.98... WOW! Did I mention they are ACID FREE... how great is that, you can also use them to journal in your scrapbooks and not have to worry about it :)
So for your chance to win just leave a comment telling me what you would do with your markers if you won. If you would like and extra chance at winning then blog about this giveaway or share my link on facebook and tell me that you did in a separate comment :) You have until Sunday October 17th to enter and I'll pick the THREE lucky winners on October 18th! If you would like to learn more about these markers check out BIC's website at http://www.bicmarkit.com/

I've tried the "stamp coloring" method a few times before, and I liked the results. After reading your review, I think I'll practice the technique a little more so I can get better at it. Maybe I'll be able to do it with a new set of BIC Mark-It Markers! :)

TFS, and thanks for giving us all a chance to win such a great prize! :)

Hello Jamie! I am now following your blog to see what other fantastic projects you come up with :) I have always loved the BIC permanent markers, but I think what excited me most about your posting on their new crafting markers is that *they don't bleed through the paper*! I think it is every crafter's *dream* not to have to worry about putting down additional paper, newspaper, or magazines underneath their card and scrapbook projects to prevent unnecessary marks. With the holiday season coming up, and my goal of making all my holiday cards for friends and family, I'm hoping I win the sets of markers! Thanks for the giveaway and looking forward to seeing more project ideas! :)
