Robotz Birthday Party Day 3- Birthday Banner!

OK here is day 3 of the Robotz Birthday Party decor, this is the birthday banner I put together. Originally it was going to be linked with a metal slinky but since I had leftover wire from the treat boxes we went with that.
All of these guys were cut at 5-3/4 and the letters were cut at 1-1/4 all upper case. The washer (in between the words was cut at 5-1/2 with the real dial size on) For the Robotz, first I cut them from black cardstock, then I went back and cut them from colored cardstock, they really needed to be heavy duty so I made sure to make them thicker then I normally would have. I also went back and cut the screens from each Robot and mouth if they had one, I set everything up on my Gypsy to cut exactly the parts I wanted without wasting un-needed cuts.
To finish them off I added different sized googly eyes to each one (if you click on the pictures they should enlarge). After the Robotz were complete I punched through them on both sides of the "shoulder" area to thread the wire through... If you decide to do this I would HIGHLY recommend NOT cutting the wire until you have the whole thing complete by this I mean start with the "H" threading all other letters on, don't forget the washer in between the "happy" and "birthday", then space them out to where you want them and starting with the last letter (Y) using your dowel, make some loops. next go to your (A) make some more loops so you will be heading up the wire that is still attached to the spool, this way you can make sure you leave yourself enough wire to have spirals in between each letter!  The silver cardstock is from DCWV Metallic Stack and the colored cardstock is from other various companies! Thanks for stopping by today :)
