bright and fun set of cards

I actually got some cards made... I know it's been a while. We had spring break a couple weeks ago and then I have just been lazy and doing other stuff, I have had ideas just not a lot of time to get them on paper. So this week I finally pulled out some new paper I got, these are from Hobby Lobby and My Minds Eye... "Deena's Penny Lane" and "Where the Heart is" stacks. I also used Mini Monograms and CTMH Art Philosophy cartridges. Lots of extras on these like the Making Memories anchor tab, Prima flowers, miscellaneous buttons, adhesive jewels and I cant forget the fun Twine. The scallop and square were cut at 3-1/2 and the tag from AP was cut at 1-1/4, stamps are CTMH sets called "Just For You" and "Party Pennants"
This square was cut at 4

Happy birthday card MCS #48

I really needed to make a boy birthday card for my nephew and I saw that My Craft Spot was hosting a "Manly Man" card challenge so I figured I would kill to birds with one stone. I was also trying to get this into another challenge to not use the cricut but when I missed that deadline I decided to add some balloons to the card. I went with the Smiley Cards cartridge. I used the hide contour button and took all the face cuts off so I just got the balloon shape and cut them at 2.25. The stamp and die cut around it are from Papertrey Ink. I love there stuff I just wish it was more affordable. The paper is from CTMH's miracle line that's retired now. I also used Sweet Leaf and Heavenly Blue ink for the stars on the balloons and Sky twine from Trendy Twine. The balloons and the frame around the sentiment are all pop dotted up.

Happy Easter Bunny-Bird

So here they are, some fun cards for a few fun challenges going on right now :) I saw over at My Craft Spot was a challenge to use a bird and wanted to make some Easter cards so I picked this cute image of a bird dressed up as a bunny and went with it, I love how he turned out! I used my gypsy and hid the face so I could also enter this in the Peachy Keen Challenge as well. The sentiment is from MPS and the papers are all DCWV. I used  the My Peeps set from CTMH for the border along the bottom. This stamp set is super cute and super affordable at only $9.95 I love it! I inked the edges with Sweet Leaf and added some opaque pearls as well.
This is how I did the little beak, after stamping on the blue bird paper I then stamped on this orange scrap and cute the part out with some scissors. Then I glued it in place on the bird. This is Happy Lashes set from Peachy Keen PK-460
Bird cut at 2.75 from 3 Birds On Parade. scalloped rectangle cut at 2.30 w by 4.10 h from Mini Monograms

St. Patrick's Day card

As I was getting ready to make some cards for St. Patrick's day a few days ago, I realized I had these shamrocks already cut and ready to go from a few years ago so I decided I would pull them out and try to put them together on a card, I think it turned out pretty cute. I just layered it on some green and white stripped pattern paper and then with some dark green bazzill. Shamrock was cute from Paper Doll Dress Up at 3 and the tag is cut at 1-1/4 from TBBM.
I used a My Pink Stamper stamp on the inside
I wanted to show you a little tutorial on how I made the little pom pom ball out of twine...

1st- I wound the twine around my fingers about 7 or 8 times and tied a knot around the outside.
2nd- I snipped all the loops on the ends
3rd- I stuck my thumb and finger in the "middle" and started squishing down
4th- keep squishing until it lays kind of flat, then I used a glue dot and stuck it on the card

a few more CAS cards

These are the last of the clean and simple cards I made. The ice cream cone is from Simply Charmed cut at 1-1/2, the car is from Hello Kitty Greetings cut at 1, and the butterfly is from Elegant Edges cut at 1-1/4

CAS Birthday with Butterfly

Here are just a couple more of the cards I made following the simple design I found on Pinterest. I made these for my mother in law who likes to send out birthday cards with a little money inside so if you scroll down you will see that she can slide the money under the twine just perfect so it wont fall out when the recipient opens it up. Butterfly was cut from Elegant Edges at 1-1/4

CAS Birthday cards with Butterfly or Ice cream

The next couple days I will be posting close ups of all these cards. I needed to make a bunch and this was the perfect layout for them because it was so simple and easy. I knocked out 70 in just a couple days.
I used the Ice Cream from Simply Charmed and cut it on the blackout feature at 1-1/2. Some of them I added a little Peachy Keen face to. This one is from Simple Simons PK-530. The paper is from DCWV Dots, Stripes and Plaids stack. The sentiment is a rub-on from my stash.
This one I used the same papers and I stamped with the Happy Birthday set from CTMH

Clean and Simple set of cards

These are way easy to make and you can get a lot of them with just one piece of cardstock and 1 piece of pattern paper. I found this idea on Pinterest and it immediately got my wheels tuning as you will see coming up next week... so this is what I did. The pattern paper is 2-1/2 square the cardstock is 2-3/4 square. The butterfly was cut from Serenade at 1-1/2. (I cut the antennae off) I adhered the middle of the butterfly and then I used some thin pop dots under the wings so they would stay up. I also used a background stamp and some versamark ink and clear embossing powder on them as well for some extra detail. The stamps are from CTMH "Thank You", "Just Because" (this was in a card kit a year or so ago) and "Forever In Love"

A Note For You...

I made these up quick for someone the other day. I got the idea from the Spring/Summer 2012 CTMH Idea Book on page 18. I already had the stamp set Just For You and really wanted to use it so I just swapped out the paper for the Roxie collection and got to work. I used Smoothie and Desert Sand ink on the flower and Bamboo too. The flower was cut at 2-1/2 with the AP cartridge.
