Lemonade 5 cents sign

Well I'm back... after trying to get this post up all week and getting that dang message about being out of space, blogger finally let me upload a picture. I never did pay for more picture storage so I dont know what's up with that but I do know that I'm able to do it now and I'm super happy! (we'll see what happens on the next post)

Anyway, I saw this super cute sign HERE on pinterest this past fall and I ran right out and bought a picket fence post to make it and then the wood sat here... through Halloween.... and Thanksgiving.... and Christmas.... and Valentine's... and here it is almost Easter and I finally got the dang thing finished! I used Don Juan and Lyrical Letters. I sanded my wood first then I painted it Canary Yellow from Plaid. After that had 2 coats on it I cut my letters and used Mod Modge to get them on, then I used some black paint from Plaid and dry brushed the edges.

L, o, n, e, were cut at 3 inches with the under pressure font
e and a were cut at 3 inches with the regular font
5 was cut at 3 inches and the "cents" sign was cut at 2-3/4.
M was cut at 3-1/2 and D was cut at 3-1/4 from Lyrical Letters with the Jumbo font

Love blocks

 My daughter is having a Valentines party in her class and wanted to make some decorations for it so we came up with these little cuties. I have had a box of these old Stampin' Up! blocks for several years so I told her to go pick some out and then I let her and her friend paint them. After they were all dried we used Lyrical Letters (the jumbo font) for the letters and the Art Philosophy cartridge for the hearts. Then I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper to the blocks.

"J" wreath

A few weeks ago I had a friend ask me to make this "J" to go on a wreath she had made. She decided on Lyrical Letters Capital for the font. I cut it at 5.90 H x 5.75 W with my Gypsy. I cut it from 2 colors and then she of-set them.

Better than a Mom- tile

A friend of mine wanted to make this for her mom's birthday a while back and asked if I could cute the vinyl for it, I had never seen this and thought it was such a great saying.
Cricut American Alphabet- mom @ 3 and grandma @ 1.25,
Calligraphy Collection- Gratitude font 1st having you for a and is my children,
Lyrical Letters- Jumbo font 2nd having you for a,
Cuttin up- better than,
Calligraphy- the Inspirational Blackout font the only thing

I set up everything I could except mom and grandma on the gypsy and then cut it all in black. Then I used the E2 Anniversary edition to cut mom and grandma since that cart is exclusive to that machine. I hope you like this project as much as i do I'm making one for my mom for Christmas shhh don't tell!

More Candy Machines :)

A friend of mine that I gave one of these too loved it so much she asked me if I would make her 7 to give to her family! These turned out a bit different as we couldn't find the same glass bowls but the ones we did find looked cute as well. I used white vinyl and Lyrical Letters for the font.  I think they are cute even without the top on :)

Personalized sleds.

A friend of mine bought these cute sleds as a gift for someone she knows and asked me if there was any way I could personalize it with "The Johnson Family"... of course I can do that! :) I used Lyrical Letters and my Gypsy to get the sizing just right... another reason that I cant live without my trusty Gypsy! :) After that was done we got to looking at the smaller sled that came with it and decided it needed some vinyl too... I ended up cutting the kids' names and adding that on as well.... I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! :)

Fantabulous Cricut "Deck The Halls" Crawl!

For my project I started with a 1x6 I bought at home depot. I had my sweet husband cut it for me into 3 equal pieces (I think each one ended up being 24 inches long) Then I painted the whole thing with 2 coats of white craft paint. After that was completely dry... a few days later for me... I used my painters tape and masked of some areas to look like candy cane stripes. Then I used Barn Red and painted the areas that were still exposed. After that was completely dry... a few days later... I used some black vinyl and my Lyrical Letters cartridge and cut the letters at 2.55 on my Gypsy.

I used some raffia and some green cord I have had since last year to make a hanger (if you click on the image it should enlarge it to see it better) Well I love how it turned out but I think I might add some bells or something up near the top. I found this idea at CraftOManiac.

"Hi" and "Hello" cards Pink/Green

I finally finished up making the cards a friend of mine asked me to make for her mom. I think these really turned out fun and pretty. Background cardstock is from DCWV Sweet Treats Stack and how easy is that to use nothing but that cardstock for the main image of the card?! All I did was use a Martha Stewart border punch at the bottom :) I also used Wild Card for the "hi" cut at 2-1/4 inches and wrapped some green ribbon around the bottom from Papertrey Ink.

 You might have seen a version of this before but I had to add it again because I messed something up and wanted to tell you that even though I had it was still usable. I bet you would never guess where the goof up was at.... if you thought maybe under that dimensional glaze then you would have thought right! When I went to adhere this piece to the card I ended up putting glue from a glue pen all over the top... OOPS! I had to think of something to hide that since I had used all that color of paper and didn't want to search through everything I have to find some more. I think this was actually my favorite card because of the dimensional glaze that I had to add! Hello is cut from Lyrical Letters at 2-1/4.

 I also flocked the butterfly with Doodlebug crushed velvet on this one instead of the glitter like I did on THIS card.

 Here are some more that I made as well I used some more paper from DCWV this time the Citrus Stack, I also used another Martha Stewart border punch and some pink cardstock from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart. Then I added another piece of pink across the green and cuttlebugged it and added some jewels.

I put this card and the last one up to show you what I did with the scraps I had leftover. The tag is from Once Upon A Princess cut at 2-1/2 (pg. 55) "hi" is from Wild Card cut at 2-1/4 I inked the edges and added some jewels.

On this one I used Once Upon A Princess again and the same tag from page 55 the pink tag is cut at 2-1/2 and the white tag is cut at 2 inches. I inked the edges of the white and stamped a happy birthday sentiment from a CTMH set.

Fantabulous Cricut #31- On The Wall

Hello Everyone, this is my project for this week's Challenge Me Monday "On the Wall" theme from the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. I had made these "EEK" plaques a few weeks ago (you can find directions HERE) and decided they looked a little lonely so since I had just revived the Happy Hauntings cartridge in the mail that day I decided t look through there and see if there were any saying that I could cut out to go along with the EEK! I really liked  the font from the  "Spooky" and "Creepy" so I went with those cutting both at 5-3/4 on black cardstock. Then I turned them over and ran them through the Xyron to get adhesive on the front side of them. I then added some fine glitter and stuck them on the wall. As the day went on I thought they needed something more so.........

 I went back in to the cricut and cut the shadow of each word out with this orange and black polka dot paper from DCWV.

 I'm not sure if I love this but I am calling it good for now, I thought that maybe after Halloween is over I can use them in the scrapbook for one of my kids :)

Fantabulous Cricut #29- National Sewing Month

It's National Sewing Month over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. For this week we were asked to make something that incorporated sewing of some degree... actual machine, hand or faux stitching... I went with hand since I had never done it before on a project. I used Lyrical Letters to cut my "hello" out at 1-1/2 inches on green Bazzill then I used some pink DCWV paper for the butterfly and glittered that with white. The pattern paper is also DCWV from the Nana's Nursery- Baby Girl stack, I rounded 2 of the corners opposite from each other and also inked the edges of the white base with Holyhock from CTMH. I finished it off by using my paper piercer to make the holes and then stitched some DMC floss through. Today's project was found at Craft-O-Maniac. I saw this one when I found the wreath project posted yesterday and got the stuff to make both. I couldn't find the plaques at the Dollar Tree but another store did have them for 1.12 each so I got them there. I used Lyrical Letters for the "E"s cut at 3 inches with the real dial size on, the "K" is from there too but I used a different feature for it. The spiders are cut at 2, 2.5, 3, and 3.5.
